Modern urban living for an older generation

By Gordon Fong

Following my flow of thinking about innovation and an ageing population, I saw this article on Tomorrow City titled RETHINKING URBAN MOBILITY FOR AN OLDER EUROPE.

There’s a lot of myths and misunderstanding about the concept of the 15 minute city, usually boiled down as oppressive anti-car policies by the left wing, but it’s about us, going about our lives with amenities within walking or short public transport journey.

As we grow older, the more that we are out the house, moving, keeping our mobility and core strength up, the better for ur health.

Whilst this page doesn’t talk about a 15 minute city, it does touch on the importance of a neighbourhood that values interaction. Dorset Co-housing Project
